After graduating
from the Ontario College of Art where Mario studied
fine art and illustration with some of Canada’s
best painters and illustrators, he began a very successful
20-year career in the advertising business.
Painting was and always will be a strong passion for
Mario, and his love of dogs and the Canadian landscape
seemed an obvious outlet for his artwork.
Each portrait takes at least a month to complete because
of the detail and technique
Mario applies to each painting. Painting only in oil,
gives each piece a classic traditional look with a contemporary
feel.
You could say Mario’s career
has gone to the dogs, and he’s very proud of it.
